Our Constitutions describe our lifestyle of following Jesus and the
specific mission of the Congregation.
The TERESIAN CARMELITE MISSIONARIES continue to express
the ecclesial vocation of our founder.
Our personal vocation means to be called to community
life within the Church, to be a sign of her presence and her life. Our
lifestyle is simple, sisterly, with a family spirit that is prayerful and
missionary.
Our ideal of evangelizing and promoting spiritual life
fills the whole of our consecrated life.
The Church is the centre and home of our spiritual life, the source
and inspiration of our apostolate.
The Church, a mystery of communion: "God and neighbour". This guarantees
unity of life for the CMT and is the basis of the Christian life of the
MILPA.
The Eucharist as
mystery of presence and communion, which
increases and builds up the Church,
is our personal and community prayer par
excellence. It nourishes our being the Church and Spouse of Christ.
Since we are a Carmelite family, prayer for us means being "on friendly
terms" with our Friend and Spouse. Through prayer we offer and commit
ourselves to serving him in his "crucified mystical body" as our
founder urged us.
